2009 Grasshopper Rock Earnscleugh Vineyard Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with dark crimson mauve hue. The nose possesses perfumed aromas of dark cherries, violets and dark plum followed by some spicy cedar showing excellent intensity. The palate displays good generosity and richness with mouthfilling flavours of dark cherry, plum, toasty cedar, a hint of anise and spice. Excellent power wave with velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of dark cherries, ripe plum, toasty cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2016).
