2008 Wither Hills Pinot Noir

Matured for 14 months in French oak this Pinot displays a semi translucent deep crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose displays a good perfumed lift with aromas of violets, dark cherries and spice followed by a light earthy cedar overlay. The palate displays good weight and mouthfeel with quite generous flavours of dark cherries, spice and plum followed by a touch of cedar showing good power. Fine grained soft tannins with long aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and cedar.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2010-2013).
