“Warri" is an aboriginal word which means "wind", and those of you who have been through the Geelong district will be aware of the constant influence of the wind which is due to the proximity of the region to the coast. The wind is both a friend and a foe – it makes establishing young vines very difficult and tends to stunt their growth, unless some wind breaks are planted. On the other hand, it keeps vineyards disease free and reduces crop sizes by keeping fruit set under control.

Another impressive Chardonnay from winemaker Peter Flewellyn that will 'fatten up' even further with time in the cellar.

Bright deep straw pale gold colour with pale straw hue. The nose displays refined aromas of white peach, light honeycomb, cashew and biscuit followed by some light toast. The palate displays excellent mouthfeel with a creamy like texture. Flavours of white peach, honeycomb, toast and spice. Excellent concentration. Clean dry finish with aftertaste of honeycomb, toast, spice and a hint of hazelnut.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2011-2014).
