2008 Langmeil Orphan Bank Shiraz

The Orphan Bank Shiraz was matured in a combination of 33% new and 67% seasoned French oak for 2 years. Totally opaque super saturated black crimson colour with black heart and very deep black crimson red hue. The nose displays good perfumed lift with top notes of liquorice allsorts and mocha followed by some confectionary, dark plum and spice. The palate boasts superb concentration and richness with mouthfilling flavours of super ripe blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and confectionary followed by some vanilla, spice and blackpepper on the back palate. Very fine grained perfectly balanced tannin structure with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, confectionary and blackpepper.
