A big rich powerful Barossa Cabernet.

Kaesler’s Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the Matthew’s Block which was planted in 1985. Displaying a totally opaque inky dark red colour with very deep dark red hue. The wine was matured for 15 months in French oak of which 20% was new and the remainder 2 year old. The nose displays good intensity with lifted aromas of ripe blackcurrant, cassis and chocolate bullets followed by some vanillin spice. Dense concentrated palate filled with rich ripe blackcurrant and liquorice flavours that dominate followed by some vanillin characters and spice. Solid but fine grained tannins provide ample support to the layers of opulent fruit. Excellent depth with long ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2015-2016).
Alc 15.0%
