The legendary John Duval -winemaker extraordinaire and one of only four people ever chosen to make Penfold's Grange – is back. This time with his own name on the label and two superb reds. The Entity Shiraz is produced from fruit sourced from old vineyards throughout the Barossa and then matured for a period of 17 months in a combination of 35% new fine grain French oak and 65% older French and American oak.

Totally opaque saturated black purple colour with very deep black purple hue. The nose displays a perfumed aromatic profile of blackberry, dark plum, liquorice and dark chocolate. Full bodied yet with a sense of refinement the palate displays mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberry, dark plum and chocolate from by some vanillin spice all seamlessly integrated. Excellent length and depth with perfectly balanced velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of blackberry, dark chocolate and spice.

Intense, dark purple-crimson; a highly expressive and complex bouquet of black fruits, licorice and oak is followed by a full-bodied palate that is savoury rather than jammy, notes of dark chocolate joining the black fruits. A 30-year future is conservative. Screwcap.
