2008 Gotham Old Vine Salmagundi

A blend of 58% Shiraz, 25% Grenache, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Mataro and 2% Merlot. Opaque deep dark red colour with crimson red hue. Aromas of very ripe dark raspberry and liquorice dominate followed by some vanillin confectionary and dark chocolate notes. Full bodied, opulent and rich the palate delivers mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark raspberry followed by some vanillin confectionary and some spice on the back palate. Voluptuously textured with very fine grained velvet smooth tannins. Long liquorice, blackberry and vanillin spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2012-2015).
