2008 Durandal Bordeaux Superieur

Produced from predominately Merlot and Cabernet Franc this wine displays an opaque black dark crimson red colour with very deep dark crimson red hue. Aromas of ripe mulberry, violets and cedar are to the fore followed by some spice end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate is quite ripe and generous for a Bordeaux red with flavours of blackcurrant, cedar and spice followed by some toasted earth like characters on the back palate. Dry finish. Fine grained, slightly chalky but balanced tannins with aftertaste of cedar, spice and toasted earth.
Cellar 2-3 years (2012-2013).
