2008 De Bortoli Estate Grown Pinot Noir

Semi translucent crimson red colour with mauve brick red hue. The nose displays excellent intensity with lifted notes of violets, dark cherry and plum followed by some spice and cedar. The palate does not quite live up to the expectations that the nose indicates. Lighter bodied the palate displays flavours of dark cherry, spice, dark plum and earthy cedar with the spice persisting through to the back palate. Dry finish with fine dryish tannins. Aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and earthy cedar.
Cellar 2-3 years (2013-2014).
Alc 13.0%
