2008 Curly Flat Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with slight pale gold tinge and very pale straw hue. The nose displays excellent intensity and good complexity with lifted top notes of white peach, cashew, yeast lees and biscuit with a light toast overlay – a very refined Burgundian like profile. Medium weight palate displaying great elegance with flavours of cashew, delicate white peach, biscuit and spice with a hint of toast on the back palate. Clean dry finish with aftertaste of cashew, biscuit and lees.
Cellar 3-4 years to build texture and further enhance palate complexity (2013-2014).

Bright, gleaming quartz-green; a super-elegant wine that reflects its terroir in much the same way as riesling does, even though there are more winemaking inputs; grapefruit, apple, nectarine and mineral notes are the leaders, oak a vehicle and no more. Immaculately crafted. Screwcap.
