Tasted single blind against its peers. Winemaker Denis Dubourdieu fashioned an uncompromising Doisy-Daene that is furnished with a taut, linear, minerally nose that shows little evidence of botrytis. The palate is medium-bodied, very fresh with crisp acidity, leading to a linear, minerally finish with traces of dried honey and quince that are shrill at present. Tasted January 2012.
