2007 Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Produced from a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Merlot this Bordeaux styled red was matured for 18 months in French oak of which 50% was new and 50% 2 year old. Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. Perfumed nose displaying scents of ripe mulberry, violets, bay leaf, tobacco, cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate delivers generous flavours of ripe blackcurrant, dark mulberry, cigar box, a touch of bay leaf and spice. Excellent length and depth. Very fine grained almost velvet like perfectly integrated tannins. Long ripe mulberry, tobacco, cedary cigar box and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years (2017-2018).
