2007 Skillogalee Basket Pressed The Cabernets

This wine is predominately Cabernet Sauvignon blended with parcels of Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Matured in oak hogsheads for 2 years. Opaque deep dark red black colour with dark red hue. Lifted aromas of dark chocolate, liquorice and ripe blackcurrant followed by a hint of mint. Medium to full bodied the palate delivers generous flavours of ripe blackcurrant and dark chocolate followed by a touch of mint and some earthy cedar back palate characters. Fine grained slightly dryish tannins. Excellent depth with medium to long blackcurrant, mint and earthy cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2016-2017).
