The fruit for this wine is sourced from Langmeil’s Fifth Wave vineyard planted in 1953 located on a sandy hillside that typical yields a low 1 to 1.5 tonnes per acre. Matured for 24 months in a combination 70% new and 30% seasoned French oak.

Crimson mauve colour with mauve brick red hue. Lifted aromas of ripe raspberry followed by some dark cherry and confectionary notes. Medium weight, but power packed palate with exuberant ripe raspberry, plum, liquorice allsorts and confectionary flavours followed by some spice and pepper end notes. Joosy texture with velvet tannin structure. Long aftertaste of ripe raspberry, liquorice, spice and confectionary.
