2007 was another strong vintage for Aconcagua with low yields and the harvest delayed for 10–14 days allowing the grapes to reach good levels of maturity. Ripe phenolics, rich favours and sweet tannins characterise this Merlot, which was subsequently matured for 12 months in new oak barrels, 87% French and 13% American.
Opaque dark crimson red black colour with deep crimson red hue displaying excellent colour saturation. Perfumed aromas of ripe mulberry, tobacco, cherry and cedar. Medium to full bodied with favours of ripe blackcurrant and mulberry followed by some spice and cedar. Dry slightly chalky tannins with aftertaste of mulberry, spice and cedar.
