Sourced from premium Cabernet vineyards in the Stonewell, Kabminye & Nuriootpa sub-districts of the Barossa Valley the wine was matured for 18 months in French oak hogsheads.

Not easily identifiable as Barossa Cabernet this wine would make an interesting inclusion in a masked line up.

Totally opaque, black dark red colour with deep, dark red hue. The nose displays aromas of violets, blackcurrant and spice with a pencil shavings, cedar like overlay. Medium to full bodied, the palate bares more resemblance to Bordeaux or Margaret River rather than a typical voluptuous Barossa Cabernet. Refined flavours of blackcurrant, cedar and spice followed by a touch of earthy tobacco. Dry finish with slightly leathery tannins. Long aftertaste of cedar, blackcurrant and spicy leather.
Cellar 3-4 years (2013-2014)
Alc 14.5%
