2006 Domaine Wachau Terrassen Federspiel Gruner Veltliner

This wine is made from the ‘in’ white grape variety Gruner Veltliner or commonly know as Gru-Vee. Gruner Veltliner is 10 times more plentiful than Austrian Riesling and can take on a number of flavour profiles depending upon its cropping levels. Cropped at high levels the varietal produces a light quaffing white. At relatively low yields it produces aromas of white flowers and cracked pepper. Generally the varietal does not require new oak.

Bright pale straw colour with water like hue. Lifted nose of lime, tropical fruit and light citrus. The palate displays light, tropical fruit and spice flavours followed by a touch of citrus. Light aftertaste of tropical fruit and spice.
