A masterpiece of winemaking and one of Chile’s icon reds.

The wine is the result of a collaboration between Robert Mondavi and Chile’s Eduardo Chadwick. The blend is a replica of what great Bordeaux wines might have been like prior to phylloxera. The blend consists of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 9% Carmenere, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Very deep black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Superb nose of violet and spice over a layer of blackcurrant, confectionary and cassis, followed by a touch of truffle and sherbet. Mouthfilling explosive palate. Flavours of confectionary, cassis and black pepper – refined and very powerful. Very fine tannins – very long aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2012-2013)
Alc/Vol: 14.5%
