2005 Domaine Mazurd Valreas Cotes du Rhone Villages

Mazurd previously supplied grapes to one of the Rhone's most famous labels, 'Guigal'. Crimson mauve colour with brick red hue. Lifted notes of ripe raspberry, liquorice and stewed fruit. The colour is showing signs of development but the palate is holding up well. Medium weight with flavours of raspberry, liquorice and spice with some blackpepper end notes that persist through the finish. Fine grained but dryish tannins. Long aftertaste of pepper, spice and liquorice.
