2004 Carmes de Rieussec (375ml)

A light Sauternes – bright, deep straw colour with pale straw hue. There is nothing from the colour to indicate a luscious style Sauternes. The nose is quite subdued with delicate apricot, confectionary and light honey notes evident. On the palate, light caramel and honey flavours emerge. There is a hint of light toffee, followed by some spice on the back palate. Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of honey, caramel and spice.
