Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. The nose reveals aromas of black plum and chocolate bullets followed by some vanillin oak, earthy leather and spice. Rich and velvety the palate still possesses plenty of succulent fruit with voluptuously textured flavours of liquorice, dark plum and dark chocolate to the fore over a background of spicy vanillin oak and some emerging leathery qualities. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent depth with a long spicy dark plum, liquorice, chocolatey oak and leather aftertaste.
Opaque black crimson colour, with deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose, with aroma of vanilla, ripe plum and cedar, followed by a hint of violets. The palate has good weight, with flavours of ripe plum and spice to the forefront, followed by a black pepper back palate sensation. Fine grained tannins, with aftertaste of plum, spice, black pepper, black currant and liquorice.
