2003 Cape Mentelle Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

A perfect food wine with its classic Graves flavour profile. Bright pale straw colour. The nose displays a strong herbaceous top note, followed by unripe gooseberry, tropical fruit and confectionary end notes. The palate structure is Graves like, with flavours of tropical fruit layered over confectionary and unripe gooseberry. Spice and citrus back palate flavours are supported by a crisp acid back bone. Excellent length and depth with very long grassy aftertaste, followed by gooseberry and confectionary.
