An outstanding example of Chardonnay...

Cobaw Ridge was established in 1981 by Alan and Nelly Cooper. The first vines were planted in 1985 on gravelly sandy soil. The vines are low yielding and the fruit coming into the winery is carefully handled avoiding any harsh extractive characteristics. Cultivated yeasts are used during fermentation to ensure consistency and quality. An outstanding example of Chardonnay, which has been entirely barrel fermented. Brilliant pale gold colour. Aroma of toasted oak, yeast lees, hazelnut, cashew and spice, showing pronounced barrel ferment character. The palate is impressive, delivering a powerful concentrated flavour profile. Creamy texture. Flavours of yeast lees, toasted oak and hazelnut, with just a touch of citrus. Clean acid finish. Very long aftertaste of hazelnut, toast and yeast lees.
