$263.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

It’s hard to imagine why a hard working Southern Italian family would name their Coonawarra vineyard after a Scottish family, Cluny. The answer lies with the previous owner of the property, David MacPherson, who was a direct descentant of Cluny McPherson. The Zema family purchased the Cluny Block in 1988, and began planting in 1990. Altogether 20 acres are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, all of which are incorporated in the Cluny blend.

Tasting Note: Opaque black crimson colour with deep mauve hue. Perfumed nose with top notes of blackcurrant, cedar, spice and violets. The back palate is very spicy and enhances the distinct blackcurrant flavours. Layers of cedar and ripe plum emerge. Fine dry tannins which linger, followed by a long plum stewed fruit and spice aftertaste.
