2001 Vasse Felix Classic Dry Red Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of violets and dark chocolate followed by a spice and blackcurrant end note. The palate has good weight with flavours of stewed fruit, spice and blackcurrant followed by a ‘warm’ back palate. Fine grained dry tannins which are quite assertive and linger into the aftertaste.

A generous red which has been matured for 9 months in French and American oak cask. Very deep black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of spice, plum, dark chocolate and mocca followed by a stewed fruit end note. The palate has very good weight. Flavours of spice, plum, stewed fruit and liquorice emerge with a touch of black pepper on the back palate. Fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of stewed fruit, plum and spice.
