2001 Orlando Jacob's Creek Limited Release Chardonnay

A well made, but rather predictable Chardonnay. Bright straw colour with green hue showing some oxidative treatment. Aroma of yeast lees, butterscotch, melon and fig followed by a spicy nutmeg end note. The palate lacks complexity and whilst made very competently does not push the boundaries of winemaking or terroir. Flavours of melon, peach and citrus work with a hint of yeast lees. Aftertaste of citrus, butterscotch and yeast lees.
