2001 Merum Shiraz

This wine is less successful than the Merum Semillon. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Aroma of liquorice, mocca, dark chocolate and black pepper. The palate displays moderate length, with flavours of plum, spice and stewed fruit evident over a subtle white pepper background. Fine dry chalky tannins, which persist long into the aftertaste.
