A superb example of the blend which is evolving in a frustratingly slow manner – which is good news for drinkers, but on the other hand the wine is creating a financial hazard for the winemaker. We are not usually prone to recommend prolong curing time for wines, because we know most people will not or cannot indulge in this sort of preparation. Two bottles were tasted, one opened immediately prior to tasting, the other having been opened 18 hours prior. There is no doubt that the prolonged breathing time improved both the nose and palate. These notes are however based on an open and enjoy basis.

Very deep crimson mauve purple colour with mauve purple hue. The nose is exotic and tends to evolve in the glass. Aroma of raspberry and blackberry are followed by nuances of violets, vanilla and spice. The palate flavours are very spicy with white pepper layers followed by raspberry, blackberry and violet infusions. Excellent length and balance. Fine dry tannins with long aftertaste of chocolate, confectionary, spice, raspberry and cherry ripe.
