The winemakers have tried very hard to build as much complexity as possible into this wine. Whole bunch pressing, oxidative handling, barrel fermentation and maturation on yeast lees have all contributed to complexity.Brilliant pale straw colour. Very pronounced nose of yeast lees, butterscotch and toasted almond followed by a cinnamon end note. The nose reflects the palate experience faithfully, totally mouthfilling and quite dry. Flavours of almond, cashew biscuit and yeast lees are supported by distinctive cinnamon oak and a creamy texture. Impressive length and long aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
