1999 Stonier's Reserve Chardonnay

A sophisticated wine, youthful, and needing a couple of years to fill out. Bright straw colour. The nose displays barrel aromas with layers of butterscotch, yeast lees, toasted oak, melon and citrus. The palate has a creamy texture, with flavours of grapefruit and citrus followed by toasted oak and nut. The acidity is a touch on the high side, but will soften with time. Very long aftertaste of citrus and toasted oak. Cellar 3-4 years.
