1999 Schild Estate Wines Cabernet Sauvignon

A full bodied red, with very ripe fruit flavours, yet without depth or finesse. This is one of those wines one could describe as being a 'hulk.'Very deep brick red colour. On the nose, aromas of earth, stewed fruit, spice and blackcurrants followed by a porty end note. Generous mouthfeel, with flavours of stewed fruit and spice. Heavy, but short on length and depth. Fine grained, dry tannins, with warm spicy back palate and lingering aftertaste of stewed fruit and plum. Cellar 2-3 years.
