1999 Jim Barry Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque crimson colour with mauve edges. Excellent nose with aromas of spice, fresh liquorice, chocolate and marzipan. The palate has excellent weight with flavours of cedar, blackcurrant and spice. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance, with very long blackcurrant, liquorice, chocolate aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.

Very deep crimson colour. Very appealing nose, with aroma of cedar, blackcurrant, violets and confectionery with a hint of chocolate as an end note. On the palate, flavours of plum, spice, blackcurrant and liquorice, with a tarry end note. Fine grained dry tannins, followed by an aftertaste of tar, liquorice, blackcurrant and spice. Cellar 2 - 3 years. (2003 - 2004)
