1999 Classic McLaren Wines Grenache

Deep crimson colour, with deep crimson hue. Appealing nose, with aroma of very ripe plum, stewed fruit, spice and confectionary. The palate lacks the carry through that the nose suggests. Flavours of spice with a hint of raspberry, however, the wine lacks depth. Fine grained tannins, with hints of earth, leather and confectionary on the aftertaste.
