1999 Burge Family Draycott Shiraz

This wine is grown on the Burge Family’s low yielding Draycott Block, and has 14% Grenache incorporated into the blend to add depth and complexity. Very deep, opaque crimson purple mauve colour. The nose is impressive with aromas of spice, plum, vanilla and raspberry, followed by an earthy end note. The palate flavours are generous, filled with the flavours of ripe plum, blackberry and blackpepper over vanilla. Firmish, yet, balanced tannins, followed by an aftertaste of plum, spice, vanilla and blackpepper. Cellar 4-5 years.
