1999 Bowen Estate Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Very deep almost opaque crimson colour with dark crimson edge. The nose is filled with the aroma of blackcurrant and cedar with hints of tobacco and confectionary in the background. There is a faint leafy end note but this is quite acceptable. Generous full bodied palate with flavours of spice, blackcurrant and liquorice. Fine grained, firmish tannins, followed by a long aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice and liquorice. Cellar 4-5 years.
