1998 St. Hallett Faith Shiraz

A well made commercial wine. Superb deep crimson mauve colour. Appealing aroma of toasted oak, spice, vanilla, plum, liquorice and a final blackpepper end note. What starts off as very impressive is cut relatively short due to the lack of concentration of flavour on the palate. Spice, blackpepper, toasted oak and a touch of liquorice are carefully balanced by fine grained tannins. Plum, spice aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
