1998 Moorooduc Estate Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour. Superb, complex nose with very distinctive barrel ferment character. Fig, butterscotch, yeast lees, followed by cashew and melon in the background. The palate has good weight with biscuit and cashew dominant, however, without the depth or complexity that the nose suggests. Fig, almond, cashew and butterscotch end palate flavours. Warm back palate. Cellar 2-3 years.
