1998 Darling Park Decadence

Damask pink colour. Restrained nose of alcohol and sherbet with a hint of orange blossom as a final note. Dry palate with sherbet confectionary palate flavour. Little length or lusciousness. Soft alcohol finish delicate confectionary aftertaste. A peculiar wine, which sits in no mans land, without the sweetness or lusciousness of a desert wine. The wine comes across as more of a creative solution to some Cabernet grapes that were not going to go anywhere as far as a red wine goes. Drinking now.
