1998 Clarendon Hills Kangarilla Chardonnay

Deep straw colour, pale gold. Restrained nose of biscuit and toasted oak followed by a citrus end note. On the palate the flavour of citrus grapefruit and toasted oak are well integrated, however, the wine lacks the concentration one has come to expect from Clarendon Hills and in many ways is more Chablis like than Burgundy. Soft acid finish Cellar 3-4 years.
