1997 S. Kidman Wines Coonawarra Shiraz

Historically the Kidman wines have represented good value for money, but rarely have they excelled in terms of depth of flavour. The 1997 Shiraz breaks the mould. Opaque purple crimson colour. Superb spicy, blackberry vanilla nose, verging on being perfumed. Excellent spicy black pepper palate, quite pronounced particularly on the back palate. Excellent length, perfect balance with fine grained tannin structure and a very long peppery liquorice and mint aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
