1997 Kangarilla Road Shiraz

In the value for money stakes this wine has to be rated as excellent. Opaque crimson colour. The nose is immediately appealing with its aromas of spicy vanilla, plum, stewed fruit and earth and mint end note. The palate is full bodied reflecting the excellent vintage conditions and is dominated by earth and plum flavour, followed by some blackpepper flavours on the back palate. Excellent balance, fine grained soft tannins, with very long earth and leather aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
