Medium weight with brick red colour. The nose is a touch stalky with aroma of strawberry jam, leather and a touch of game. Stalky flavours appear on the palate, giving the wine a touch of greenness which to an extent is overcome by the very ripe berry fruit flavours. Concentrated palate, flavours of earth, game, raspberry and liquorice, excellent length, supported by velvet smooth tannins and warm earthy, spice, strawberry and smoky oak aftertaste. A wine with definite Burgundian parallels.
