This is a "snapshot" of Applewood's malt at just six months of age. Crafted from South Australian barley and fermented, distilled and aged at the Applewood Distillery in the Adelaide Hills, maturation took place in small 50 litre, re-coopered 80 year old uncharred x tawny Port casks.

Tasting note: Pours bright gold. Ideal clarity. Butter menthol lozenge-like aromas are countered by a dried grassy freshness and hints of grilled pineapple. A perky, buttery, grassy delivery followed by a juicy, peppery finish that's a little like barrel aged tequila. Fades waxy, bready, drying and fresh. Gorgeous young malt. 42% Alc./Vol.
