How We Score the Wines

The tasting panel at Nicks Wine Merchants taste hundreds of wines each month. Some are good, few are excellent while many are bad or indifferent. How do we arrive at the scores we do? The rating system we use is by no means arbitrary, rather it is methodical, transparent and self policing.

2007 Bouvet Ladubay Saphir Brut Vintage
Bouvet is regarded by many wine lovers as the finest expression of sparkling wine from the Loire Valley. Displaying plenty of flavour with excellent yeast autolysis characters and a creamy texture, this is a fantastic value for money sparkling.
