2022 Yalumba Vine Vale Grenache

Yalumba’s Vine Vale Grenache is part of their distinguished sites collection which is inspired by distinct and exceptional vineyard parcels which are renown for producing outstanding quality fruit. The wine was crafted from two blocks planted in 1949 and 1929 on Yalumba’s Tri-Centenary vineyard located in the Barossa sub region of Vine Vale. Each block was fermented separately, the first block inclusive of 31% whole bunch fruit and the second block 20% with maturation taking place in older French oak puncheons for a period of 6 months.

An uber moreish, power packed Barossa Grenache laden with succulent fruit.

Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a bright red hue. Fragrant aromatic herb infused scents of red raspberry, cherry and red liquorice sail out of the glass trailed by hints of graphite and blackpepper. The uber moreish mid weighted palate features succulent dark raspberry, cherry and liquorice fruits that are delivered with fantastic power and intensity. Plush and fleshy textured yet airy in its feel, subtle vanillin confectionary and peppered earth characters lie underneath. Finishes spicy, fresh and juicy with silky smooth tannins and an exceptionally long aftertaste.
