2022 Rob Dolan White Label Chardonnay

From a high quality yet low yielding vintage that saw production down by around 50%, this superb Chardonnay was 100% barrel fermented and matured in French oak (30% new) for a period of 9 months.
Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive greenish tone around the outskirts and a watery hue. Sailing through the nostrils are delightful scents of white peach, nectarine, dried honey and cashew which are trailed by some biscuity nougat and spice notes. Rich and creamy textured yet not heavy, moreish white peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours decorate the mid weighted palate. Adding further nuance are cashew, biscuity nougat and spice elements. Excellent intensity finishing long and textured.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

From the Willowlake vineyard in the Upper Yarra. Barrel fermented and matured in French oak (30% new). With its aromas of perfectly ripened stone fruits, grilled walnuts and a little orange pith, there's a lot going on here from the get-go. Just as good on the concentrated, gently textured and nuanced palate. Finishes long and taut and will drink well now and over the next four to five years. Drink by 2028.
