2021 M. Chapoutier La Ciboise

A blend of 60% Grenache Noir and 40% Syrah aged for 6 months in concrete vats. Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Attractive dark to black raspberry, liquorice and scorched earth scents show good lift out of the glass with some herb du Provence and black pepper notes also evident. Juicy dark raspberry and liquorice allsorts flavours carry medium body weight and a fleshy feel with scorched earth, provincial herb and pepper elements lying underneath. Slightly grainy but otherwise polished tannins finishing with good energy and generosity on the mid length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
