Other Reviews....
Firm reduction. There is more evident minerality if not the same mid-palate density to the rich but not really generous medium weight flavors that possess an even more refined texture that carries over to the bone-dry, balanced and sneaky long finish. Note that this is sufficiently firm to easily repay a decade plus of keeping. This too is excellent. Drink through 2031+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a clean, precise nose, the same level of reduction as the Les Referts, with green apple and light limestone scents. The palate is very well balanced, surfeit with tension thanks to the acidity, precise and mineral-driven towards the finish. What a wonderful Folatières, one that should age gracefully in bottle. Drink 2025-2046.

2 x 350 litre barrels made from 0.42ha, though there was a moment when they didn’t expect to make anything. Mid lemon yellow. A form of nutty reduction here. Plenty of weight but not quite in place, perhaps softer and richer, but I am preferring Referts today. Tighter to finish. Fresh apricots with lemon rind at the back. To watch. Drink from 2025-2030.
