2020 Mastrojanni Costa Colonne

Produced from mainly Sangiovese with a small percentage Ciliegiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon included, aged for 12 months in large oak barrels and concrete tanks.
Deep dark red core with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Aromas of red currant laced with dried herbs and spice intermix with tobacco and earth. The elegant, light to mid weighted palate sees a mix of red currant and red cherry fruits overlay spicy earth, tobacco, cedar and dried herb characters. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins and an earthy, touch rustic aftertaste.
