2020 Georges Duboeuf Fleurie

Very deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Very ripe, the nose offers up black cherry, blackberry and liquorice aromas trailed by some earthy incense like notes and dried herbs. Rich and weighty this is a very full bodied Fleurie that’s boldly flavoured with blackberry, liquorice and dark cherry fruits. Opulently textured yet with some heat to the finish from the lofty alcohol volume. Ripe sturdy tannins with some earthy incense and dried herb characters also evident. Long generous dark to black fruited conclusion.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
